Description
Position Summary:
The Machine Operator works in the warehouse to install and operate heavy and non-heavy machinery to aid in the plant’s processes and operational tasks. Machine Operators are also responsible for performing regular maintenance checks to ensure proper machine functioning. They are trained on various safety guidelines and regulations and must carefully follow procedures and protocols to ensure safe machine operation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and maintaining warehouse equipment and machinery
- Setting up manufacturing equipment
- Reading and following blueprints, schematics and written instructions
- Using machine equipment to complete tasks
- Performing routine inspections of manufacturing equipment
- Evaluating the efficiency of each unit regularly
- Identifying and making improvements by adjusting equipment parts
- Cleaning all applicators and machinery after painting is completed
- Managing time efficiently to meet project deadlines
- Following all safety procedures and OSHA guidelines to prevent accidents or illness for self and others
- Performing other duties as assigned by management within the scope of the position
Qualifications
- Must be age 18 or older
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
- High School Diploma or GED, preferred
- 1 years of industrial machine operator experience in a manufacturing environment
- 1 years of experience maintaining industrial machinery
- 1 years of experience using hand and power tools
- 1 years of experience using computerized machinery
Prior OSHA and MSHA Training required
