Job Description: Heavy Lifting (General Laborer)
Location: Clinton Township, MI
HOURS 6:00 am-2:20 pm Monday-Friday.
Overtime work may be available/needed until 4:20pm.
Saturday hours (6am-11am), when available, are typically optional, but may be required at certain times throughout the year.
Job Description:
- Ability to learn and perform repetitive job tasks.
- Able to safely work with and around moving equipment.
- Ability to learn and rotate to different responsibilities and/or positions.
- Operate equipment/tools that require close control, adjustment, and following production orders.
- Comply with safety, quality, and production requirements and procedures.
- OT available when business needs require.
- Ability to communicate in a concise, polite, and respectful manner with team members.
- Regular/dependable attendance consistent with attendance guidelines is required.
- Meet productivity goals with accuracy and quality.
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the job (lift 50 pounds).
- Maintain good housekeeping.
- Other duties may be assigned.
We are seeking responsible individuals to fulfill multiple jobs in the production operations. This job is a permanent, full-time position with medical insurance, paid vacation days, overtime pay, and a 401K plan included after direct hire. Starting hourly wage will vary depending on experience and pay increases based on performance available.
Requirements
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift, carry, and move materials or components (often up to 50 lbs or more, depending on the job).
- Standing/Walking: Often required to stand or walk for long periods during the work shift.
- Manual Dexterity: Ability to use hands and fingers for tasks like fastening, assembling parts, and using tools.
- Repetitive Motion: Ability to perform repetitive tasks (e.g., assembling multiple units of the same item) without strain.
- Bending and Kneeling: May be required to bend, kneel, or crouch to access lower components.
Skills and Abilities:
- Basic Tool Usage: Knowledge of and ability to use hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, hammers, drills, etc.) and power tools.
- Teamwork: Ability to work in a team environment, communicating effectively with other assembly workers, supervisors, or quality control personnel.
