As Vice President of Industrials and Manufacturing (I&M) Investment Banking, you will support the execution of complex M&A and capital markets transactions. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive client relationships, manage high-stakes deals, and contribute to the strategic growth of the I&M practice. What You’ll Do
- Lead day-to-day project management and oversee the origination and execution of transactions within the I&M practice including sell-side, buy-side and capital market- transactions; responsible for driving successful outcomes for our clients and G2
- Support coverage and lead communications with our clients, potential investors or buyers, and third parties
- Assist with drafting offering memoranda for distribution to investors as well as other financial presentations detailing client and transaction-related fundamental information
- Manage scope and idea generation of client pitch books and live deal materials, including offering memoranda, confidential information memoranda, management presentations, lender presentations, and prospectuses
- Perform financial valuation, discounted cash flow, leveraged buyout, pro forma merger, precedent transaction, and comparable companies’ analyses
- Analyze detailed corporate and financial information, as well as conduct due diligence
- Build financial operating models and valuation models
- Develop industry relationships and source and close new clients in partnership with the I&M practice leader
- Serve as a role model for analysts and associates by identifying training and learning opportunities and monitoring work quality
- Participate in the junior team talent management programs – hiring, selection and training
- Manage high-stakes deadlines with grace and poise, delivering top-quality work when it matters most
- Provide timely, concise updates to internal teams and clients, ensuring alignment and smooth coordination on every deal
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, staying proactive and organized to meet deadlines and keep every engagement on track
- Control project costs, develop resource plans, and manage the transaction timeline
- The responsibilities of this role will evolve with business needs, giving you the opportunity to grow and develop along with us
- 6 years of investment banking, M&A advisory, restructuring, or private equity experience with significant transaction experience
- Industry focus in I&M; prior experience as an operator within an I&M industry is a plus; deep experience and knowledge in distribution, metals, specialty chemicals, packaging, industrial services, and general manufacturing is ideal
- An undergraduate degree with a strong academic record; Master’s degree preferred or Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Public Accounting (CPA) degree
- M&A Advisory execution experience at an Investment Banking platform is preferred but M&A/deal advisory experience at the Big 4 or similar will be considered
- Series 79, 63 preferred but not required
- Strong business analysis, financial analysis and modeling skills
- Demonstrated experience within the project and/or engagement lifecycle, including the planning, development and management of resources, budgets, client expectations and deliverables
- Exceptional presentation and marketing skills; deep knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Excel and PPT
- Strong work ethic, including clear ownership of deliverables and clear alignment of G2 values as our clients’ trusted advisor; ability to work under limited supervision
- Ability to lead and positively influence a team, both local and remote team members
- A natural curiosity to understand how and why things work; with a drive to dig deeper and uncover the best solutions
- A strong sense of accountability and meticulous attention to detail, demonstrated by owning mistakes and seeking help when needed
