G2 Secure Staff is expanding and looking to add to the Mail Runner operations in St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL)

Pay Rate: $13.75-$13.75 per hour

Shift: Vary

The Mail Runner delivers mail and packages to different vendors around the airport. They ensure that all incoming or outgoing correspondence is handled efficiently and delivered promptly.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 1. Must be 18 years or older
  • 2. HS diploma or GED
  • 3. Valid Driver’s License (Must meet the G2 Company Driving Policy)
  • 4. One (1) year of customer service experience
  • 5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

B. PERSONAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • 1. Treat all information as confidential.
  • 2. Possess the tact to deal with all levels of situations, client representatives, employees, and the public.
  • 3. Must be able to read, write, understand, and carry out instructions in English.
  • 4. Must be able to read identification badges, credentials, and labels on bottles, aerosol cans, and packages.
  • 5. Must be able to open and close latches, zippers, and screw caps. Remove and feel beneath baggage contents and reach all sides of a bag.
  • 6. Must be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and audible alarms generated by metal detection devices with other noise in the background.
  • 7. Manual dexterity is required to operate hand-outs and to search for various shaped items and packages.
  • 8. May be exposed to hazards resulting from investigation of alarms, and other irregularities.
  • 9. Must be able to take verbal directions in English.
  • 10. Must be able to read, wire, understand, and carry out instructions in English.
  • 11. Must be able to sit, stand, lift up to 75 lbs., and/or bend throughout the shift.
  • 12. Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests.
  • 13. Must pass a pre-employment background check.
  • 14. Must meet the requirements to obtain a security-sensitive identification badge.

C. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • 1. Deliver internal (inter-office) and external mail (couriers, postal services, etc.).
  • 2. Deliver sorted mail and packages to the appropriate recipients within the organization.
  • 3. Actively participate in the Safety Management System (SMS)
  • 4. Collect outgoing mail from various departments and ensure timely postal service or courier dispatch.
  • 5. Maintain accurate mail logs and packages, especially for important or confidential materials.
  • 6. Communicate mail delivery issues, delays, or concerns with relevant departments or individuals.
  • 7. Ability to walk and move around the airport frequently.
  • 8. Capability to lift and carry mail and packages (typically up to 50 lbs.).
  • 9. Comfortable standing for extended periods during delivery tasks
  • 10. Perform other duties as requested.
