Skycap/Porter at LAX Airport

G2 Secure Staff is expanding and looking to add to the Skycap/Porter Agent operations in Los Angeles International Airport(LAX)

Position: Skycap/Porter Agent

Pay: $19.28-$19.28 per hour

Shift: Vary

The Skycap isresponsible meeting incoming passenger with ticketing, gate, and airline information. The Skycap may assist with baggage and luggage as needed by the passenger. Actively participate in the Safety Management System (SMS)

What does a Skycap do?

• Stands in front of airports and at airline entrances to offer assistance to passengers
• Help passengers with luggage and answer questions about the location of a terminal or ticket office
• Provide information about the flight schedule of their particular airline.
• Actively participate in the Safety Management System (SMS)

What skills are required to Join the Team?

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must submit to and pass a drug screen and background check
• Must meet all requirements to obtain an airport SIDA badge and Customs Seal (if applicable), including successfully completing a background check and ten-year work history.
• Must have a reliable mode of communication and transportation
• All applicants must consent to and pass a drug test as part of a conditional job offer. -REQUIRED

Language Skills:

• Ability to communicate effectively in the English language
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals, and employee handbooks
• Ability to effectively present information, including in written form, and respond to questions from passengers, managers, clients, customers, and the public
• Must also possess and utilize effective listening skills
