Job Summary / Overview
Reporting to the Director of Finance & Accounting, the main responsibility of this position involves managing the organization’s financial resources to ensure stability, liquidity and measurable progress towards strategic objectives. The ideal candidate for this position will also have Financing and Cash Flow activities related to Group performance as well as local banking activities. Strong ability to lead, manage and concisely present company performance to Executive team members. This position will work closely with Operations, FP&A, and other functions.
Essential Job Functions
- Cash Management – Oversee daily cash operations, including forecasting, cash balancing and managing bank accounts.
- Investments – Managing short- and long-term investments to ensure alignment with risk tolerance and liquidity needs.
- Financial Reporting – Provide analytical support and utilize Executive dashboards to report financial performance, identification and mitigation of potential risks.
- Regulatory Compliance – Ensure compliance with financial regulations and all relevant laws
- Liquidity Management – Manage the company’s cash flows and ensure that funds are available when needed to support growth initiatives including optimization of working capital
- Capital Budgeting – Work closely with Operations to monitor returns on employed capital, allocate funds for exploration, drilling and production
- Risk Management – Mitigate risks in feedstock volatility, interest rate changes and partnering with other functions to understand hedging strategies and other complex financial instruments
- Debt Management – Manage the company’s debt profile, refinancing activities and compliance with debt covenants
- Leadership – Proven track record of leading and managing efficient team. Holds himself / herself and other team members accountable to high standards and to Company Policies.
- Other value added – Participates and collaborates in other initiatives as directed or determined on own initiative.
