What You Will Be Doing:
- Scheduling and Coordination: Coordinate various activities, resources, and subcontractors to meet project deadlines. Develop and manage detailed project schedules to ensure timely completion.
- Budget Management: Monitor project expenses and ensure that projects are completed within budget constraints. Address unexpected costs, unforeseen conditions, and scope changes promptly to minimize financial impact.
- Effective Communication: Facilitate clear and effective communication among project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and team members. Address any miscommunications quickly to prevent delays, errors, and conflicts.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle. Anticipate potential issues such as safety hazards, material shortages, or regulatory compliance challenges and develop proactive solutions.
- Quality Control: Maintain high-quality standards throughout the construction process. Ensure that work meets specifications, codes, and standards through constant supervision and attention to detail.
- Time Management: Balance multiple tasks, deadlines, inspections, and priorities effectively. Utilize strong time management skills to keep projects on track and within schedule.
- Resource Allocation: Manage resources such as labor, equipment, and materials efficiently. Optimize resource allocation to meet project demands while controlling costs.
- Client Expectations: Understand and manage client expectations effectively. Communicate project progress to the Project Manager, address concerns promptly, and help ensure client satisfaction throughout the construction process.
- Strengthening GC/Architect Relationships: Foster strong, collaborative relationships with architects. Ensure alignment on project goals, design intent, and execution strategies. Address any discrepancies or issues promptly to maintain project cohesion and quality standards.
- Safety and Compliance: Enforce all safety regulations and company policies on-site. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any issues that arise during construction promptly. Implement effective solutions to keep projects on track and maintain quality standards.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and inspection records. Use company software (Procore) to manage and organize project information efficiently.
What You Need:
- Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of commercial construction experience, with a focus on field supervision.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills to facilitate effective stakeholder interactions and mitigate communication issues.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in construction management software, particularly Procore, and other relevant tools.
- Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills to balance multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Quality Focus: Keen attention to detail to maintain high-quality standards and ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and standards.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities to address and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
- Safety Orientation: In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices to ensure a safe working environment.
