G3 Water Engineers is looking for an individual who loves to solve problems and work in a collaborative environment to join our team of experienced engineers and designers who specialize in water and wastewater conveyance and treatment design. This individual will play a key role in transitioning concepts to 2D and 3D CAD models, assisting in project drafting, design, and coordination of industrial and municipal water and wastewater projects across the country. Job Summary:
Mechanical Designer/Drafter will work closely with project managers, project engineers, and drafters to deliver projects on time and on budget. They will play a large role in drafting engineering plans, specifications, and technical documents using Autodesk 2D and 3D CAD software to develop project drawing packages.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- 0-6 years of drafting experience.
- Associate’s degree CAD or science related field is preferred.
- Experience with Autodesk products such as Civil 3D, Plant 3D, and/or Revit.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and Bluebeam
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others.
- Ability to work independently under supervision, as well as part of a team to meet project objectives.
- Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, technology, math principles, spreadsheets, and general computing tools.
- Ability to manage multiple project tasks while staying organized.
- Willingness and enthusiasm to learn.
