About The Role
We are looking for an experienced Caretaker to join our friendly team working on our North Wiltshire schools PFI contract based at Abbeyfield School. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Shift Pattern
Week 1: 6am - 2pm
Week 2: 2pm - 10pm
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Caretaker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for locking up the school each day, completing relevant H&S checks, maintaining a safe school environment and completing minor repairs/DIY work.

Responsibilities
- Management of site security.
- Locking up.
- Ensuring sites are safe and Health and Safety issues are dealt with.
- Managing/completing general maintenance tasks.
- Managing/completing monthly H&S checks.
- Maintaining records to ensure compliance.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Good problem solving skills.
- Proactive approach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Good working knowledge of maintenance activities.
- Knowledge of the requirements to meet Statutory Compliance.
- IT literate with the ability to use Microsoft or Google sheets and document apps and be able to complete online learning modules.
