Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: Position Purpose: As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Mercy Care Atlanta, you will work under the supervision of a Mercy Care Medical doctor and/or Nurse Practitioner to coordinate access to healthcare, provide patient care, and support preventive services for our diverse patient population. Your role will involve performing patient assessments, maintaining medical supplies, conducting EKGs, and participating in community events to promote health and wellness. What You Will Do: Coordinate access to healthcare, health education, and preventive services for target population. Perform basic patient assessment procedures including vital signs, infection disease control, and universal precautions. Maintain and order medical supplies and materials under the guidance of Nurse Practitioners and/or Clinic Manager. Perform EKGs under the guidance of a licensed Medical Provider. Participate in health fairs or community events on weekends as requested. Provide direct patient care and/or support activities appropriate to ages served. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Completion of an accredited program associated with license. Current Georgia State license. One-year experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply. Passing score on entry medication exam. Current CPR or BCLS certification.
