Ultrasound Tech (Part-Time)

Employment Type: Part time Shift: Day Shift Description: Position Purpose Mercy Care Atlanta is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our compassionate team. Under the direction of a radiologist and clinic management, you will perform high-quality sonography exams to assist in diagnosing diseases and evaluating organ function. This role requires independent judgment, technical expertise, and a commitment to patient-centered care. This position will work 2 days a week (8 hours per day). What You Will Do Conduct two-dimensional ultrasound exams, including abdominal, gynecological, vascular, and musculoskeletal imaging. Operate a Philips Affiniti 70G ultrasound machine with precision and efficiency. Collaborate with off-site radiologists to discuss test results. Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with imaging service protocols. Maintain patient safety and adhere to all radiation and ultrasound safety regulations. Assist with additional clinic duties as needed, supporting the overall mission of Mercy Care. Minimum Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an RDMS-approved ultrasound program. Certification: RDMS registered in at least one category or registry-eligible (must obtain registry within one year of employment). Experience: Two years of experience in an acute care setting preferred. Skills: Strong customer service focus, ability to work well in a team, and competency in patient care for adult and geriatric populations.
