Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: The full time Phlebotomy: Specimen Processor position is a vital role in the operation of the laboratory. Duties include but are not limited to receiving, sorting and prioritize all specimens according to the laboratory policies. Verifying patient specimens such as blood, urine and other body fluids with any paperwork received to ensure proper identification. Follow all regulations regarding health and safety concerning the handling of biohazardous patient samples or sharps to prevent exposure. Must be detail orientated and be able to investigate and resolve any specimen discrepancies. Demonstrate service orientation approach by conveying courtesy, respect, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude in work situations. This role also includes phlebotomy practices as needed/competently trained. Certification/Licensure: Phlebotomy certification preferred. Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
