Employment Type: Part time Shift: Description: Must be able to work from weekly menus and production sheets using approved recipes to prepare food items, observe routine work schedules and follow the System and departmental procedures. Must be able to carry through to completion assigned and planned tasks. Must exercise initiative and also have the ability to exercise sound judgment performing daily and assigned duties. Must have the ability to prioritize and correct problems, as needed. Position Requirements: Responsible for high quality and properly prepared foods using approved recipes. Follows proper food handling techniques. Maintains work areas, equipment and utensils in a sanitary manner. Follows HACCP and OSHA standards in the performance of daily tasks. Directly accountable to the Production Supervisor for daily assignments. Adheres to System, and corporate compliance programs. Supports department policies, procedures, objectives, and goals. Implements, observes safety, environmental and infection control standards. This position requires a person who is friendly, cordial, reliable, conscientious, and able to follow directions. Must be able to efficiently organize production schedules to meet demands of the operation. Must have initiative and demonstrate good judgement. Must be able to perform repetitive tasks. A: Licensure/Certification/Registration: None required B. Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent. Vocational training in quantity food preparation and sanitation is preferred. C: Experience: A minimum of one year’s previous food service cooking experience in a healthcare facility, institution or full service restaurant under the guidance of a qualified Chef is required. D. Special Qualifications: Must promote good customer relations by providing quality products in an attractive environment in which to eat, provide a high level of cleanliness and respond to customers requests promptly. Must perform at an above satisfactory level and work must be thorough detailed and consistent.
