Reporting to the Director of Quality and Engineering, the Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that aviation products and services meet the regulatory and safety requirements of the industry. This involves overseeing aviation systems' design, development, manufacturing, and maintenance processes, including aircraft, engines, and components. This position is based in our Fort Lauderdale, FL location.
Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed inspection of aircraft parts.
- Develop repairs within the scope of providing technical data.
- Analyzing data and trends to identify process improvement and cost savings areas.
- Draft detailed drawings, sketches, and profiles used to perform structures and composite repairs.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation plans to minimize the potential for defects or failures in aviation products and services.
- Hands-on experience with quality assurance processes including,, but not limited to, inspection of hardware and paperwork, First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR).
- Maintain records and documentation related to quality control activities and ensuring that all required documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate with customers to ensure that quality requirements are met and address any quality-related concerns or issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Quality control, regulatory compliance or aviation operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively.
