Gabbas Technologies is seeking a skilled and reliable Low Voltage Structured Cabling Technician to join our team. Duties
- Install and route copper and fiber optic cables in various environments (residential, commercial, and industrial).
- Terminate and troubleshoot cables (CAT 5, CAT 6, CAT 6a, and fiber) to ensure optimal network performance.
- Set up and configure network equipment, such as switches, routers, and patch panels.
- Perform testing (continuity, volt-ohmmeter, etc.) to verify cabling performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Install and organize server racks, patch panels, and other infrastructure components.
- Follow blueprints, diagrams, and installation plans to ensure proper cable management and routing.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and ensure high-quality installations.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (BICSI, TIA, NEC, etc.) during all installations.
- Provide customer support and answer any questions about the installed systems or equipment.
- Assist with project planning and help identify potential challenges in the installation process.
- Cross-train in network support and troubleshooting to expand your skillset and assist with additional tasks.
Experience
- 3 years of experience in low voltage structured cabling, including copper and fiber optic installations.
- Proficient in the installation, termination, and troubleshooting of CAT 5, CAT 6, CAT 6a, and fiber optic cables.
- Experience setting up and configuring network equipment such as routers, switches, and patch panels.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as BICSI, TIA, NEC, and local building codes.
- Hands-on experience with testing equipment (continuity testers, volt-ohmmeter, etc.) and troubleshooting network issues.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Previous work in both new construction and retrofit cabling projects across residential, commercial, and industrial environments.
- Strong understanding of cable management techniques and best practices.
- Experience with rack and stack work, including the setup of server rooms and network closets.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.

Pay: From $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 32 per week
