Job Summary :

The machinist will operate computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools to cut and produce precision parts for machines, instruments, and tools.

The Machinist repairs and produces parts using both manual and automated equipment with precise measurements. The machinists' goal is to ensure effective production operations and optimize procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Review samples, drawings or instructions to understand specifications of output
• Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping
• Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job
• Select appropriate machines and position or load material for a job
• Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed, maintain temperature and identify

issues

Minimum Qualifications :

Work Environment :

Employee may be regularly exposed to moving equipment, mechanical parts in motion, risk of

shock and other hazards associated with a manufacturing environment such as overhead cranes,

welding, machining, painting etc.

Employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, talk, hear, climb or balance,

stoop, kneel, reach, stretch, crouch. Lift or move up to 50 pounds. Vision requires close focus,

distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and focus adjustment.
