Summary
- Automation Technician is to build, maintain and troubleshoot robotic and automation systems, using knowledge of microprocessors, programmable controllers, electronics, circuit analysis, mechanics, sensor or feedback systems, hydraulics, or pneumatics.
- Responsible for getting the secondary automated equipment running during production
- Troubleshoot non-functioning components including servos, sensors, and pneumatic/ control components.
- Part replacement.
- Reporting all regarding the automation equipment status.
- Support on quality and continuous improvement projects.
- Perform electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic modifications on fixtures.
- Support a team concept of working together in a mutually supportive atmosphere, respecting individuality, encouraging and using suggestions, and expressing appreciation for the efforts of our co-workers at all levels.
- Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with manufacturers or field representatives as necessary to maximize machine utilization and productivity.
- Fabricate housing, jigs, fittings, or fixtures, using metalworking machines.
- Perform preventive or corrective maintenance on robotic systems or components.
- Other duties as assigned.
