A leading poultry processing company is seeking a qualified Plant Engineer for their harvest plant. This position provides technical leadership and direction to the operations team, with a focus on maximizing equipment and system uptime through the application of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) .
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement technical strategies focused on operations, safety, energy usage, engineering projects , and maintenance improvements .
- Promote safety as a core culture and strategy across all operational areas, driving results from the technical organization to meet safety goals.
- Lead plant-specific engineering and maintenance strategies to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) . Ensure facility structures and systems (electrical, mechanical, boiler, refrigeration) are maintained to meet or exceed operational needs.
- Collaborate with the Senior Director of Engineering to create, understand, and strictly adhere to plant technical expense budgets.
- Work with local, state, and federal agencies, corporate insurance, and risk management teams to ensure the facility exceeds relevant codes and policies.
