Are you passionate about crafting high-quality garments or textiles? Do you have an eye for detail and love working with your hands? We’re seeking a talented Sewer to join our team!
The Sewer is responsible for operating a sewing machine to join cut fabric parts for the fabrication of upholstery coverings for furnishings. This position is also tasked with sewing pull bands into the seams of upholstery parts and sewing welts into upholstered furniture covers.

What You Do
- Operates sewing machine to prepare and sew upholstery covers, trim, etc. for mounting.
- Cuts stacks of upholstery fabric to specifications, working from templates or patterns.
- Sews flat work, cushions, leather and waterfall skirts.
- Plans material usage to minimize waste.
- Assists in additional housekeeping duties for department including dusting and mopping as needed to ensure safety.
- Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
What You Bring
- Three or more years of experience as a sewing machine operator, preferably in a manufacturing or production setting.
- Ability to read documentation and translate that information into a finished product.
- Exceptional hand-eye coordination and detail-oriented;
- Ability to top stitch and saddle stitch.
- Ability to flow match pieces that are sewn together.
- Ability to sit and sew for majority of a shift.
- Good attendance and demonstrated work ethic required.
