GAC Enterprises, LLC is a well-established telecommunication construction company looking for a experienced Fleet Manager to lead the redevelopment of our Fleet Department. This position will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing a structured and efficient fleet operation from the ground up. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fleet management, maintenance programs, compliance, and cost control.
Fleet Redevelopment: Assess current fleet operations, develop and implement a
strategic plan to modernize and optimize fleet efficiency.
Acquisition & Disposal: Manage vehicle acquisition, leasing, and disposal strategies to
ensure a cost-effective and sustainable fleet.
Preventative Maintenance & Repairs: Establish and oversee a comprehensive
preventative maintenance program to reduce downtime and extend vehicle lifespan.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations,
including DOT, OSHA, and environmental requirements. Develop and enforce fleet
safety policies and training programs.
Budget & Cost Control: Monitor and control fleet expenses, including fuel,
maintenance, repairs, and insurance. Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining
quality and reliability.
Vendor & Supplier Management: Build and maintain relationships with vendors for
vehicle purchases, leasing agreements, fuel providers, and repair services. Negotiate
contracts for best pricing and service agreements.
Technology Integration: Implement fleet management software and GPS tracking to
monitor vehicle performance, driver behavior, and optimize routing.
Policy Development: Create and enforce policies for vehicle usage, driver
responsibilities, and asset management.
Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a team of fleet technicians, mechanics,
and drivers, ensuring high performance and accountability.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in fleet management, preferably in construction,
logistics, or transportation industries.
Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field is
preferred.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of fleet maintenance practices, regulatory
compliance, and fleet management software.
Leadership: Proven ability to build and lead teams, develop policies, and manage large-
scale operations.
Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make strategic
decisions to improve efficiency.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to liaise
with vendors, management, and operational teams.
