GAC Enterprises, LLC, a leading telecommunication construction company based in Greensboro, NC, is seeking a Horizontal Directional Driller Locator to join our Albuquerque, New Mexico team. As a Horizontal Directional Driller Locator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment used for underground utility installation, including locating and drilling horizontal bores.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and conduct drilling operations according to project plans and specifications
- Locate existing utilities using electronic equipment and mark their locations
- Navigate and drill bores according to predetermined paths
- Install conduit, pipe, and cables underground
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company and regulatory guidelines
- Prior experience operating directional drilling equipment and locating utilities
- Strong knowledge of underground construction practices and techniques
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings
- Knowledge of utility locating equipment and techniques
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
