Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Service Manager at GAC Hospitality Group in Nutley, NJ. The Service Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, ensuring exceptional hospitality, resolving guest issues, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a positive work environment.
Responsibilities (included, but not limited to)
- Creating staff schedules to ensure proper staffing for all meal periods while managing labor cost within our budgeted targets.
- Daily Operations : Open & Closing, Pre Shifts, Cash & Tip Management, Payroll Management
- Facilities & Maintenance : Ensuring all equipment and facilities have proper upkeep, clean and organized work environment.
- Guest Satisfaction : Comfortable speaking with guests, touching tables, receiving feedback and offering exceptional hospitality beyond the guest expectation.
- Supplies : Monitoring supply levels and placing orders as needed
- Reservation Management : Managing reservations to ensure maximum cover performance, updating floor plans for ALC service and events.
- Staff Training : Ongoing staff training through Pre Shifts, Coaching & Feedback, Quarterly Training Sessions.
Qualifications
- Experience in restaurant management, customer service, and staff supervision
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities
- Knowledge of food and beverage operations
- Team player with leadership abilities
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Previous experience in a similar role is required
- Hospitality or culinary degree is a plus
Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
