A monitor technician is a non-professional associate who, under the direction and supervision of the PCC, Department Director, or Charge Nurse observes ECG monitoring, notes, rhythm, documents rhythm activity and notifies appropriate care givers for changes in a patient’s cardiac rhythms. The monitor technician may also be assigned to other duties, including, but not limited to: basic clerical tasks, answering phones and reviewing other monitoring as required by the organization.

Licenses/Certificates REQUIRED: Successful completion of a Basic Dysrhythmia Interpretation Course with demonstrated annual competency. |
