This corporate position is fully remote based.Job SummaryThe Tapered Design Specialist is responsible for providing tapered insulation designs and takeoffs from architectural roof plans for commercial and residential low-slope applications. This role requires an individual who is team-oriented and exudes strong customer service skills, often assisting the sales team with design solutions for customers and architects in challenging situations, providing exemplary professional and technical support.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide accurate insulation material quotations for roofing contractors, suppliers, and architects nationwide.Generate professional and clear CAD based shop drawings for submittals and installation.Service support for the Technical Services Team, GAF territory sales managers, architects, and customers as necessary.Ad-hoc projects as assigned.Qualifications RequiredBachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Applied Science or Technology.2 or more years of relevant work experience.Knowledge and proficiency of AutoCAD is mandatory.Qualifications PreferredTechnical and professional knowledge of the roofing industry.Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications.General Knowledge / Skills : Ability to follow oral and written instructions.Strong written and verbal communications skills.Ability to handle multiple tasks / projects simultaneously.Building strategic working relationships.Highly self-motivated.Compensation and BenefitsAnnual Salary Range : 76,500-97,750We offer a wide range of health insurance options, Family-Building benefits, a robust 401K plan, and exciting programs to help employees achieve work-life balance.
