Job Summary
We are seeking a Production Specialist to oversee the technical operations department and ensure quality and productivity objectives are met in a safe and efficient manner.
Essential Duties
- Develop and maintain software development, test, and live infrastructure and services.
- Collaborate with Development, Technical Operations, QA, and Product Management teams to minimize downtime and optimize Change Healthcare platform performance.
- Identify and implement improvements in infrastructure and system reliability, performance, monitoring, and overall stability.
- Perform capacity planning and demand forecasting to meet systems demand, identifying performance bottlenecks and devising tuning improvements.
- Create tools and automation that eliminate repetitive tasks and prevent incident occurrence.
- Foster a 'Safety First' culture and communicate Safety protocols and HBC principles.
- Maintain productivity and foster continuous improvement through sound management practices.
- Support GAF Business Management Systems and associated programs.
- Provide a safe workplace by adhering to company safety policies, housekeeping, and defined standards of training.
- Monitor compliance to safety policies and procedures, conduct inspections of plant areas, and address deficiencies found in a timely manner.
- Ensure production crews are well-trained, involved, and committed to meeting production, quality, and safety requirements.
- Lead Operators and crews, provide technical support, and direct the Production operation within established process specifications.
- Implement and sustain various new GAF initiatives, such as FORCE, 5S, Brain Cube, Poka, and others.
- Maintain an excellent quality level of the product produced at the lowest cost, monitor key operating parameters, and act as a liaison between production crews and quality department on issues.
Qualifications Required
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required.
- 5 years of work experience in a heavy manufacturing environment, preferably in a continuous process industry.
- Previous supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
