7am Concrete Batcher

Description

An ideal Redimix Batcher candidate is passionate about their work, detail-oriented, computer-savvy, and not afraid to get dirty.  Our Redimix Team is a small group of 5 who keep our production team supplied with the right concrete at the right time day in and day out.  They use on-the-job experience and common sense to work through issues and keep equipment running in the right direction.  We use highly automated equipment to mix a variety of concrete mixes by using all different kinds of rocks, sands, and dyes. 

• Demonstrates accuracy in basic math skills including adding, subtracting, and multiplying
• Understands, follows, and transmits oral and written instructions
• Effectively communicates with coworkers and members of other departments using radio and phone
• Demonstrates ability to remain calm and utilize good decision making skills in an environment with multiple tasks needing to be done on a tight deadline
• Demonstrates ability to effectively organize, prioritize and plan multiple different pours at the same time
• Demonstrates ability to consistently meet deadlines by having mud in the truck at the time it has been ordered for (plus or minus ten minutes).
• Pass respirator fit test (must be clean-shaven) and wear respirator when necessary
• Complete other tasks as assigned with proper supervision
• Understands, follows, and transmits oral and written instructions
• Effectively communicates with coworkers and members of other departments using radio
• Maintains a clean work area, including keeping batch plant free of safety hazards.
• Contributes to company morale and goals through a positive attitude and commitment to quality
• Work both independently and as a team player to complete tasks according to production schedule
• Follows company policies at all times
• Contributes to a work environment that is safe and free of unlawful harassment and discrimination
• Meets attendance requirements according to company policy

Salary: $21.00 - 22.00 per hour
