HOTEL NIGHT AUDIT
OBJECTIVE:
The Night Auditor at the Gage Hotel is responsible for balancing all hotel and restaurant transactions on a daily basis. They assist guests with Front Desk-related functions, ensuring excellent service through efficient, courteous, and professional interactions. Additionally, the Night Auditor runs nightly reports for accounting and managerial purposes and addresses any guest needs or concerns during the night to ensure their satisfaction.
REQUIREMENTS:

- Excellent Customer Service and ability to manage your time effectively
- Must be organized
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret and effectively explain items such as common reports, guest folios and emergency procedures
- Ability to complete basic mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Knowledge and understanding of Company Core Values and Mission Statement
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete daily auditing, balancing, and closing procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Balance the computer system postings against the department balances and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy.
- Balance and process all credit card batches for the day's activity.
- Accurately manager cash drawers and credit card system.
- Check guests in and out of hotel in a courteous and pleasant manner.
- Ensure guest needs are responded to in a timely and efficient manner.
- Use proper telephone and reservation etiquette including describing the hotel, proper rate quotation, and capturing reservations.
- Maintain guest confidentiality at all times.
- Provide information pertaining to available services and facilities of hotel, points of interest and entertainment attractions, making reservations as needed.
- Always provide the highest quality of service to the guest and anticipate and exceed guest expectations.
- Communicate and work as a team with other departments as needed
- Report problems regarding finances, the audit, guest relations and security promptly to the appropriate manager or General Manager.
- Communicate pertinent shift information to the next shift and direct supervisor.
- Use appropriate phrases and greetings when interacting with guests.
- Conduct self in a friendly and attentive manner during all guest encounters.
- Work in a safe and conscientious manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
WORKING HOURS:
- Overnight shifts
- Some weekends and holidays
