Busser Job Description
Job Summary
Maintain a clean restaurant in a professional and quick manner. Work with servers on a daily basis and help them with their needs to ensure guest satisfaction.
Job Tasks
- Take care of guest requests
- Pre- bus, clear, clean, and reset tables
- Polish silverware and glassware
- Refill ice bins
- Assist servers with filling waters
- Become familiar with all seating areas, tables and seat numbers
- Assist servers with delivering food to tables
- Perform cleaning duties such as taking garbage and linens out, clean spills, and sweeping
- Move tables, rake, shovel, or other duties as directed
- Participate in trash disposal runs when needed
- Assist in other restaurant divisions if needed during down time
- Thoroughly preform opening and closing duties
Required knowledge and skills
- High energy level
- Thoroughness and cleanliness
- Communication skills aimed towards efficient seating and table utilization
- Eager to work in a team environment with focus on delivering excellent customer service
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds on occasion
- Stand during entire shift
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, especially nights, weekends, and some holidays.
