We are seeking a qualified Engineer with 6 years' of experience to become a part of our growing Highway Design Group for our Albany and Westchester (Ossining) Offices. Our highway engineers work on a variety of projects and interact with traffic engineers, structure engineers, and our construction inspection staff.
Essential Job Functions :
- Plan, schedule, conduct or coordinate detailed phases of engineering work in part of a major project.
- Plan and conduct work requiring some judgment and independent evaluation.
- Apply standard technology and procedures.
- Conduct analysis choosing appropriate applications.
- Anticipate bigger project objectives
- Complete intermediate and limited complex engineering assignments
- Perform cost and quantity estimating.
- Attend project meetings and presents specific aspects of engineering assignments.
- Responsible for report writing for basic projects and some intermediate projects.
- Project engineer of basic projects - staffing, scope, schedule, budget.
- Assume client relations for routine basic projects.
- Provide some delegation and supervision of Engineer III's and Technicians.
- Provide coordination for multi-discipline projects (intermediate level).
- Receive direction on technical guidance for complex problems.

Hourly Rate Pay Range :
Albany, NY : $44 / hour - $60 / hour
Westchester - White Plains, NY : $47 / hour - $69 / hour
Pay is based on applicant's ability / experience and will be rated accordingly.
