Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registrar to join our art gallery. The Registrar will play a crucial role in managing artist and patron records, ensuring compliance with policies, and supporting the mission of the gallery. This position requires a strong background in administration, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to innovation.
Duties
- Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of records, including invoices, inventory, and all other paperwork.
- Provide advising to patrons regarding art, such as art education, artist provenance, and gallery standards.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to innovate the registrar process for the gallery.
- Utilize ArtCloud software for managing gallery data and records efficiently.
- Seek out collaborations with auxiliary institutions to expand the reach and enrich the practices of the gallery.
- Assist in recruiting efforts by providing information about philinthropic programs to prospective artists.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations regarding records and contracts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with art and artists in an awesome setting.
- Familiarity with art history or similar student information systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective public speaking and advising.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations within the art community.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
