We are seeking a reliable and friendly Medical Front Office Receptionist/Administrator to join our team and contribute to the smooth functioning of our clinic.

Position Overview:As a Medical Front Office Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring they have a positive and efficient experience. Your exceptional communication skills and attention to detail will play a crucial role in managing administrative tasks and coordinating patient appointments.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Answer incoming phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage appointment reminders.
  • Verify patient insurance information and process necessary paperwork.
  • Collect and record patient demographics, medical history, and insurance details accurately.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date patient records, both electronically and physically.
  • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure a smooth flow of patients and timely services.
  • Handle patient inquiries, resolve issues, and provide general information about the clinic's services.
  • Manage the waiting area to ensure a comfortable and organized environment for patients.
  • Assist with billing, insurance claims, and other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with other front office staff to ensure a cohesive and efficient work environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Medical Front Office Receptionist or in a similar role.
  • Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and computer software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and empathetic demeanor.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing patient records and appointments.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy practices.
