What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Engineer position at Gainwell Engineering, Inc.?
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for new product innovation and design for engineering while ensuring applicable codes and standards are being followed
- Supports manufacturing and assembly of current production machines utilizing Engineering Change Orders to resolve build issues in a timely manner
- Coordinate and cooperate with outside vendors and engineering firms for parts or projects handles outside the organization
- Prototyping and testing of new components and designs
- Participate in customer field trips to conduct investigations damaged and/or failed components
- Experience working with large mechanical assemblies that include weldments, machining, detailed drawings and fasteners.
- Maintaining bill of materials and the use of standardization of parts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black belt
- Advanced Failure Analysis (AFA)
- 10 years’ experience
- Creo and AutoCAD experience
- Experience working with large mechanical assemblies that include weldments, machining, detailed drawings and fasteners
- Maintaining bill of materials and the use of standardization of part
- Travel
