Summary
The Financial Associate is responsible for, with minimal supervision, processing transactions within the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) which support scheduled financial cycles for the State of Rhode Island Medicaid Program. Transactions consist of processing payments for both Medicaid Providers and clients which are requested by our customer. This position is located in Rhode Island and requires working on-site in Warwick, RI.
Your role in our mission
- Process Claim Adjustments and Recoupments due to corrections to the initial submission of claims.
- Process Recoupments and payouts to Managed Care Organizations (MCO) due to client program enrollment changes.
- Preparation of daily bank deposit, ensuring categories are accurately posted to various Account functions.
- Maintain check stock and storage. Logging each check issued and having it verified for accuracy.
- Issue Manual Checks for provider / client reimbursement
- Process wire payments
- Bank Reconciliation
- Post Payments on Account Receivables
- Set Up Electronic Funds Transfer Transactions & Reversals
- Research Potential Payment Errors followed with corrective action
- Prepare and record a report of all checks processed each financial cycle and submit for State review
- Process requested stop payments
- Additional projects / assignments requested based on operations team needs

The pay range for this position is $35,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
