Shipping / Receiving Specialist for Gaishin Manufacturing Kalamazoo Facility :
Our Kalamazoo facility is adding a Shipping / Receiving Specialist to their team. This position works Monday-Friday from 7 : 00 am to 3 : 30 pm. We are looking for candidates that are looking for a long-term career at company that values and supports their employees.
Job Summary :
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring materials and products are properly received, stored, and distributed. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, and material handling in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities :
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing lists and purchase orders.
- Unload and load trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
- Accurately label and store incoming materials in designated locations.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing shipments to meet customer and internal requirements.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct cycle counts as needed.
- Ensure all shipping and receiving documentation is completed correctly.
- Communicate discrepancies, damages, or shortages to the appropriate personnel.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and in compliance with company policies.
- Keep the shipping and receiving area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Assist in production or warehouse operations as needed.
