The GAL Group is looking to fill the position of Inventory Specialist, who under the direction of the Materials Manager, will primarily be responsible for entering the Work Orders (WOs) into the system, either by scanning or entering WOs into V9. Inventory Specialist must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent and prior experience in a similar role.
Requirements
We are searching for a candidate with:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of related working experience.
- ERP experience
- Inventory management
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- High attention to detail and analysis of information
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Manufacturing experience is a plus
Duties and Responsibilities
A typical day may include:
- Collaborate with Team Leaders: Ensure accurate and timely work order (WO) entry into Visual 9.
- Data Management: Process WOs and make real-time adjustments in Visual 9.
- Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels.
- Reporting and Analysis: Create and present inventory and WO processing reports.
- Cross-Training: Train production staff on basic WO transactions.
- Process Improvement: Implement efficiency and accuracy improvements.
- Support Production: Assist with inventory preparation and special projects.
- Adherence to Policies: Follow company policies and best practices in inventory management and WO processing.
- Other projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Benefits of Working With Us
- Salary for New York City Based Applicants: $20.00 - $25.00 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and in keeping with local legislation).
Position Details
- Day shifts, generally 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Based in the Bronx, New York
- This is on-site position with no remote work options.
- This role will involve exposure to elements in the production floor.
