Duties and Responsibilities
A typical day may include:

• Daily assessment and maintenance of equipment covering the following areas:
• Punch press, Sheet Metal Fabrication and Assembly, Tool Room, Lathe/Machining Department
• Disassembles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts.
• Electrical – understand electrical schematics to make equipment repairs
• Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical/electrical equipment by completing preventative maintenance as directed by Maintenance Manager.
• Completes assigned projects covering general repairs in above mentioned areas
• Participates in the coordination and movement of plant equipment.
• Provides support to OEM mechanics, electricians, and technicians on equipment installation, maintenance, or repair.
• Safety - verify that the manufacturing equipment does not pose employee hazards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements
We are searching for a candidate with:

• Minimum of 1-3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have valid NY driver’s license and forklift operator’s certification.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment and their repairs.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
• The employee frequently is required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds with the assistance of equipment or personnel.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Benefits of Working With Us

• Salary for New York Based Applicants: $25.00 - $35.00 an hour (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and in keeping with local legislation).

• This is an Hourly position with overtime available
• After 90 days, this position will be eligible for benefits through the IBEW, Local 3 Union

• Day shifts, generally 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Based in Bronx, New York
