Requirements
We are searching for a candidate with:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, fluid dynamics, or a related technical field preferred.
- 2 - 3 years of progressive application engineering experience in the elevator industry.
- Strong problem-solving skills with technical aptitude.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work independently with mentorship and support from colleagues and senior engineers.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through skills to complete open action items in a timely manner.
- Eager to contribute to maintaining positive customer experiences
Duties and Responsibilities
A typical day may include:
- Reviewing post-sales data forms review, calculations, and coordination of various related product details relative to a major product package offering.
- Generate and submit request for information emails to customers, perform follow ups, and consolidate clarifications retaining all time stamped customer responses.
- Interact with other Vantage business units and outside vendors to drive forward final product details. • Assist estimators with hydraulic calculations and technical decisions when necessary.
- Review and adjust quotes based on surveys and ensure accurate sizing and code compliance which drive release documents.
- Prepare work orders and related release documents for production.
- When required, engaging with customers to identify their technical requirements and offer product solutions.
- Provide technical information to customers and estimators.
- Manage change orders in coordination with operations staff when necessary.
- Ensure products comply with all relevant codes and standards.
- Contribute and collaborate with team efforts by identifying and addressing short-term and long-term estimating, engineering, and order processing challenges.
- Provide technical information to customers and colleagues to build product awareness.
- Understanding of all product features, options, and compliance requirements.
- Review and understanding of project specification documents ensuring product scope and code compliance.
- Multiple projects progressing simultaneously is a requirement of this position requiring documentation of progress for future reference following procedures ensuring internal communication consistency.
- Update master schedule with progress on projects in process.
- Assist customers as required with technical decisions relative to job document compliance as well as applicable local codes
