The Role
We are seeking a dynamic Film Business Lead to partner with our Vice President of Film and drive the business success of our film division. This role will focus on overseeing financial performance, managing P&L, and ensuring key metrics are met to support strategic growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business management, financial analysis, and budgeting within the entertainment or film industry.
We are seeking visionary business leaders with deep subject matter expertise and proven leadership experience to take our company to the next stage. The focus is on driving new strategic initiatives, growing the existing business, including new and existing partners, and leading and managing teams. They will also manage their P&L. Most importantly, we need leaders who embody a "yes and" mentality, embracing challenges with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and a drive to figure things out and deliver impactful results.
You will be a part of a company of super-achievers who work together to bring forth the evolution of entertainment. The ideal candidate has prior game dev experience, excellent people skills, business acumen, and an exemplary work ethic. We want someone with experience and passion for web3, cryptocurrency, and NFTs. We would love someone with a deep passion for innovation, strong product management skills, and an impressive track record for working in a fast-paced, evolving, creative-minded environment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Vice President of Film to set and execute the business strategy for the film division.
- Identify and assess business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams that can enhance the division's market position and growth.
- Manage the division's P&L, ensuring profitability and financial sustainability.
- FilmMonitor and report on key financial metrics, including revenue, margins, and expenses, and provide insights to improve performance.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, aligning them with overall company goals.
- Oversee business negotiations and contractual agreements in collaboration with legal and financial teams.
- Provide regular updates and reports to executive leadership on the division's financial performance and growth prospects.
