What are the responsibilities and job description for the Training Specialist position at Galactic Network Integrators, INC?
• Establish training program(s) using modern technology and techniques
• Deliver training content using various platforms including in-person, online,
hybrid, and blended learning models
• Update existing training material and convert all documents to electronic files
• Collaborate across the department and sections within the division to
understand initial and refresher training needs and address accordingly
• Acclimate and adapt self and others to change
• Train during traditional and non-traditional work hours (utility operates 24/7)
• Establish:
o Method(s) to track and address attendance & punctuality,
o Assessments to gage the learner’s progress
o Rubric to evaluate engagement and overall success of the training program

REQUIREMENTS
1. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in instructional design and training for systems
and software
2. Have 5 years of operational experience / knowledge (call center, billing,
revenue /collections, dispatch, and field services) preferably in the water and gas
industries
3. Must be proficient in developing training content for in-person, e-learning, and
online/virtual training using Microsoft software, e-learning software,
gamification, and other modern techniques used for adult learning
4. Must be proficient with learning management systems, evaluating trainee
progress, tracking, and reporting
5. Must be able to train using the train-the trainer model
6. Must possess a great personality and promote an employee centric culture
7. Be an active listener who is approachable and has a great sense of humor
8. Provide safe learning environment
9. Intermediate – expert level in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and Forms
and software
