Skills / Experience Required

(SCA) Help Desk Support Service Specialist Intermediate skills/experience required:

• Current active Secret clearance required
• Provide second-tier technical support for PCs, servers, mainframe applications, and hardware, addressing issues escalated from first tier help desk support
• Diagnose and resolve complex user problems, leveraging expertise in troubleshooting operating difficulties
• Collaborate with network services, software systems engineering, and application development teams to restore service, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions
• Simulate and recreate user issues to develop effective resolutions.
• Recommend system modifications and improvements to enhance performance and minimize recurring issues
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and advancements in IT support
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly analyze and resolve technical issues
• Excellent communication and customer service skills to assist end-users effectively
• Familiarity with IT service management tools and processes

Education / Certifications

• Bachelor's degree, preferred (computer science, information technology, or have equivalent experience)
• GFACT or CND or Security or GSEC

Security Clearance

Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance is/may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
