Scope of the job
The Cell Therapy Experience Lead plays a pivotal role in managing customer relationships, ensuring their satisfaction, and overseeing the effective functioning of the Site Care Team. Acting as the primary liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders, the Cell Therapy Experience Lead is responsible for maintaining operational excellence, resolving issues, and driving a customer-centric approach to all activities.

Base compensation for this position ranges from $ 142,000 to $ 264,000. Actual base compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, qualifications, job-related knowledge, demonstrated skills and geographic location. The company reserves the right to modify base salary ranges at any time.
In addition, this position is eligible for participation in both Galapagos’ performance bonus plan and long-term incentive program. We offer comprehensive and generous benefits and programs to help our colleagues lead healthy lives and to support important moments in life.

Your role
- Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, department heads, and principal investigators within key hospitals.
- Identify and engage with new potential sites, leveraging knowledge of local markets and networks to enhance partnerships.
- Issue Resolution and Escalation Management
- Handle escalated issues related to Site Care Team performance or operational challenges.
- Strategically troubleshoot problems to maintain positive customer relationships while ensuring seamless operations.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a central point of contact for internal stakeholders (Site Care Team) and external partners.
- Foster effective communication, coordination, and relationship-building to achieve mutual objectives.
- Operational Oversight
- Manage coordination of cell and patient logistics to ensure smooth operations, including planning, scheduling, and manufacturing.
- Oversee Site Care Team activities to maintain high standards of service delivery.
- Customer-Focused Strategic Planning
- Develop customized, site-specific engagement plans that address unique customer needs and operational nuances.
- Ensure a seamless transition from clinical to commercial product use by understanding evolving hospital stakeholder requirements.
- Lifecycle Relationship Management
- Manage stakeholder relationships throughout the entire product lifecycle, from clinical trials to commercialization.
- Anticipate and address changing customer needs to provide consistent value.
- Organizational Excellence
- Maintain clear oversight of ongoing internal processes and relationships across multiple sites.
- Utilize excellent organizational skills to monitor progress, identify risks, and implement improvements.
- Customer Satisfaction Leadership
- Lead the Site Care Team to deliver an exceptional customer experience, focusing on satisfaction and long-term engagement.
- Knowledge of northeast US cities including Boston and New York City preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, medical, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 7-10 or more years of experience in roles within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry, with a strong focus on Cell Therapy, Oncology, or Heme-Onc.
- A successful track record of building relationships and managing internal and external collaborations.
- Strong leadership, planning & organization, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent oral and written presentation skills in both a live and virtual setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to navigate and succeed in a small/mid-sized biotech in a high growth dynamic, and fast-paced environment with a high degree of collaboration and teamwork
- Business travel required to approximately 50% of time
