About Us

Galatoire’s Restaurant is a cornerstone of New Orleans’ spectacular dining scene and has a rich culinary history of tradition. We pride ourselves on a legacy defined by exceptional service, creativity, and consistency. As a leader in the culinary world, we're seeking an Executive Chef to bring fresh ideas and an innovative approach. We are a 120-year-old restaurant with 3 locations that offer a la carte dining, expansive private dining rooms and a bustling bar.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the main kitchen of our flagship restaurant Galatoire’s.
  • Oversee all culinary operations with-in the main Galatoires’ kitchen, ensuring quality, safety, and excellence while providing support and leadership to other culinary departments as needed.
  • Develop and manage menus in conjunction with the Corporate Executive Chef that reflect, promote and pay tribute to our rich tradition using seasonal ingredients.
  • Supervise staff, fostering growth and maintaining a dynamic team environment.
  • Implement efficient and safe kitchen practices in accordance with city and state regulations.
  • Collaborate with all management to ensure customer satisfaction and the success of our culinary offerings.

 

Qualifications

  • Several years of experience as an Executive Chef or at the Senior Executive Sous Chef Position
  • Proven track record in strategic menu development and team leadership.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and inventory management.
  • Technologically advanced. Particularly in restaurant management, word processing and accounting software.
  • Extensive knowledge of Creole and French cuisine with a commitment to preserving tradition while embracing innovation.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Culinary degree is preferred but not required. Equivalent work experience is a must.
  • ServSafe Certification or equivalent food safety training is essential.
