- Manage several projects simultaneously.
- Understand and communicate the scope of testing required to meet the needs of the project or desired business capabilities.
- Review and approve test plans.
- Assist with managing post-design scope changes and resolving issues throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Build a knowledge base or proficiency framework on the test team(s) and applications and acquire subject matter expertise on the overall line of business pertaining to the test team(s).
- Analyze and prioritize defects based upon business and programming specifications.
- Perform testing activities including: planning, design, scripting, execution, debugging and reporting tasks.
- Lead, develop, monitor, and execute test activities for large sized projects.
- Provide guidance to team members on the scripting and execution activities to accomplish the test plan and design requirements.
- Research new tools and testing approaches and execute upon/monitoring the implementation of such items.
- Post test execution activities include error debugging, reporting needs, and internal and external communications.
- Provide technical investigation, updates, and progress to project team and management.
- Automate tests for new features using existing automation framework.
- Assist with the execution of testing for all system components, including functional and integration testing.
- Ensure traceability from requirements to test cases, document test cases and generate reports, accountable for all software quality related metrics.
- Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodology.
- Ability to work within an agile methodology on scrum team to coordinate testing; participate in dialog with developers in discussing current and proposed architecture, defects enhancements and other issues.
- Define test objectives, write and execute test cases and test scenarios to ensure that software products meet design specifications and quality measurements, update and modify existing test procedures as necessary.
- Work with multiple programs/systems on projects of moderate to high complexity within multiple development environments.
- Demonstrate high productivity and the ability to effectively multi-task across different initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring and coaching to less experienced individuals. Oversee training of team members.
- Work independently with senior management and technical groups globally.
- Utilize business, functional and/or technical expertise to effectively develop and execute the test strategy and planning activities.
Required:
- 6 years of related technical experience.
- Linux background
- Subject Matter Expertise with demonstrated technical experience in one or more mainframe and/or distributed application technologies, web application technologies, databases, principles of quality, test automation, and performance testing activities.
Desired:
- Knowledge of Banking Industry: Payments, Tax Payments, ACH, NACHA (National Automated Clearing House Association)
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written communication with internal and external client leadership
- Knowledge of user interface testing and ADA compliance testing
- Knowledge of automation tools: TOSCA, Selenium
- Knowledge of project management and waterfall Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes
- Knowledge of the key processes in the business and the business rules that impact the development and/or implementation of information systems.
- Knowledge of Corporate Applications & tools: Jira, SharePoint, Workday
- Knowledge of MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint

- Prolonged periods of remaining stationary at a desk and working on a computer
