What You Will Do
- Work in an agile environment and participate in all agile ceremonies including PI planning, backlog refinement, daily standup, sprint reviews etc.
- Develop detailed test cases and test data based on requirements.
- Conduct manual testing focusing on functional, integration, regression and system testing of applications across multiple technologies including Mainframe, distributed systems (Java / React), client server, DB2, Postgres.
- Create test data files with valid and invalid records to thoroughly test program logic and verify system flow.
- Execute testing and capture test results.
- Collaborate with users to plan user acceptance testing, alpha and beta testing.
- Execute QA testing and log defects. Ensure that tests are successfully completed and documented, and all problems are resolved.
- Provide demos to product owners and other stakeholders to move the stories to accepted/done status.
- Follow Quality Assurance (QA) procedures and standards and participate in the development and implementation of QA metrics for assessing the quality of delivered application software. Participate in the review of new QA software and consult with IT staff and client areas in resolving questions during the testing process.
- Work with client and IT management and staff to maintain a consistent test methodology.
- Collaborate with cross functional team
- Prepare and present the test results and metrics.
Skills and Experience You Will Need
Required:
- 4 - 6 years of experience in manual QA testing including functional, integration, regression, API and E2E testing.
- Experienced in testing applications that involves mainframe, distributed systems (Java, React), APIs, DB2, Postgres.
- Experience in working with large data sets, data validation and SQL queries
- Familiarity with mainframe, API testing tools
- Knowledge of test management tools – JIRA
- Work experience with Agile methodologies and scrum framework.
- Excellent understanding of SDLC and STLC processes.
Desired:
- Experience in PBM
- QA certifications such as ISTQB

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of remaining stationary at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift to 15 lbs., as needed
- Must be able to work on-site (corporate/client offices), as needed (not applicable for 100% remote roles)
- Occasionally required to bend, kneel, crouch, and reach overhead.
- Hand-eye coordination necessary to operate computers and various pieces of office equipment.
