What are the responsibilities and job description for the SharePoint Power User position at GalaxE.Solutions?
What You Will Do
- Be an advanced user with a deep understanding of SharePoint features and capabilities, often acting as a subject matter expert within the organization consisting of SharePoint users.
- Be responsible to look at the existing structure in SharePoint 2016 On-prem and create new structure in SharePoint Online.
- Collaborate with content editors to move the documents to pre-prod environment, facilitate in pre-prod validations prior to migrating to production environment.
- Be responsible for creating manage metadata and term store.
- Manage, add, delete, and adjust SharePoint sites and configurations, ensure proper set-up and access.
- Manage and update site, content, manage site and list permissions.
- Manage and assign a variety of organizational tasks to other Power Users in the business organization
Skills and Experience You Will Need
Required:
- 2 -4 years of experience in SharePoint Online.
- Excellent communication skills to work with business users, gather requirements to create site structure etc., to migrate content from SharePoint On-prem to SharePoint Online.
- Possess extensive knowledge and ability to use advanced SharePoint features.
- Experienced in creating and managing site structure and content
- Experience in managing metadata
- Sound knowledge of SharePoint online tools and features.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience.

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of remaining stationary at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift to 15 lbs., as needed
- Must be able to work on-site (corporate/client offices), as needed (not applicable for 100% remote roles)
- Occasionally required to bend, kneel, crouch, and reach overhead.
- Hand-eye coordination necessary to operate computers and various pieces of office equipment.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, the ability to tolerate fluorescent lighting, and the ability to adjust focus.
