What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at Galaxy Bowling Center?
We love to provide out of this world service to our customers! We are looking for personnel to help keep that standard. As a bartender you can expect to perform the following tasks:
- Serves food, alcohol, and other beverages in measured quantities, using a consistent reference point to distribute every order to the appropriate customer.
- Checks back with the customer to verify that all expectations have been met and/or exceeded.
- Promotes responsible alcohol sales and service, and ensures compliance with local alcohol service regulations, provides age verification via identification in accordance with TABC standards.
- Takes food and beverage orders from customers; serves food and beverages, accepts payment, and makes correct change.
- Accurately enters orders and payments in POS system.
- Maintains, sanitizes, and organizes, bar wares, utensils, supplies, lounge and serving areas, according to local and state regulations.
- Practices suggestive up-selling techniques that highlight existing, new or improved beverage menu offerings.
- Manages alcoholic beverages and supplies as necessary. Verifies the quality and accuracy of deliveries.
- Adheres to all state and local laws, as it relates to the service of food, and beverage products.
- Readily assists colleagues with miscellaneous duties to prevent delays in the customer service experience.
- Addresses and resolves customer complaints.
- Proactively ensures, and maintains a clean and safe environment at all times.
- Must become TABC certified within 14 days of employment and complete an approved food safety program within 30 days of employment.
- Ability to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays, as well as, extended workdays to support business needs.
- Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bartenders possess a highly developed sense of customer service and interpersonal skills, including respect for all individuals and solid communication skills. Bartenders must be strong team players. Knowledge of and adherence to workplace safety procedures and basic PC user skills highly preferred.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of three years related experience. Relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is also acceptable.
