POSITION TITLE: Food Process Technician
POSITION DUTIES:
- Collaborate with production lines operators and supervisors, to identify and address any malfunctions or issues that may affect production.
- Set up and adjust specific bakery machinery and equipment to support R&D to industrialize a new product on the line or to integrate new raw material or a change of suppliers.
- Participate with other departments on product development and new industrial projects.
- Assist with investigation of manufacturing processes and follow corrective actions with the PQATs and Line Managers.
- Support and monitor production operators integrating new product development and when changes are made in the process for existing products, to ensure the efficient and safe production of food products.
- Follow strict hygiene and safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
- Ensure new quality controls on raw materials, semi-finished and finished products are made correctly by operators to meet specifications and standards.
- Keep detailed records of production activities, including machine settings, production volumes, and quality control measures, for reporting and analysis purposes.
- Stay updated on bakery and fine pastries trends, and best practices related to food processing to maintain knowledge and skills relevant to the role.
- Monitor and alert if there are any product quality deviations. Collaborate with production to implement action plans.
- Perform random quality traceability checks.

EDUCATION: None specified
EXPERIENCE: 24 months of experience in food processing or in food quality assurance or closely related occupation
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: 24 months of experience working on food manufacturing processes or food quality assurance of automated production of bakery products (dough and process) and fine pastries processes (mousses, tarts) on the production line in an industrial food manufacturing setting.
RATE OF PAY: $75,254 to $80K/year
HOURS: Monday to Friday: 8:30 am to 5 pm – 40 hours a week
