Key Responsibilities
- Firmware and system-level testing of IoT devices, including analysis and troubleshooting of analog and digital circuits.
- Contributing to product development efforts.
- Developing test fixtures and testing procedures for the production department.
- Designing and developing tests for product validation and verification, as well as production tests.
- Collaborating with electrical, firmware, and mechanical engineering teams, as well as production staff.
- Working closely with the System Test Leader, System Engineers, Firmware, and Hardware Engineers in system setup and execution of applicable test cases.
- Creating, modifying, or using automated test systems.
- Understanding requirements to develop and execute Verification and Validation Test Plans.
- Communicating project technical and schedule risks based on test case results.
- Capturing defects in JIRA with complete information (logs, snapshots, videos, etc.).
- Tracking progress and issues, ensuring transparent communication on test progress.
- Participating actively in weekly syncs to address development issues, share UAT concerns, and provide QA inputs.
- Python automation.
- Knowledge of Zigbee protocol.
- Familiarity with network protocol analyzers.
- Experience in flashing embedded devices like IoT devices, circuit breakers, etc.
- Proficiency with tools like Putty, Teraterm, etc.
- Experience with Zigbee IoT devices, especially Silicon Labs ZigBee devices (preferred).
- Basic knowledge of power/electrical parameters.
- Experience using tools like Jama, JIRA, and Visio.
- Firmware testing experience.
