Job Description
will be responsible for overseeing and driving demand and supply planning processes to support business units and the sales team in achieving their sales objectives. This role will focus on demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and effective S&OP management to ensure seamless alignment between market demand and supply availability. Additionally, the role will aim to optimize operational costs and contribute to the overall efficiency and profitability of Galderma in the Benelux and Nordics markets.
Duties & Responsibilities
Demand , Supply & Inventory Management
Forecasting : Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts by analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and promotional activities
Collaboration : Work closely with sales, marketing, and customer service teams to incorporate market intelligence, product launches, and promotions into demand plans. Coordinates demand reviews with sales teams, providing the best visibility on sales forecast over a period of 0 to 24 months in alignment also with Finance.
Forecast Accuracy: Monitor and improve forecast to ensure alignment with sales targets and inventory policies.
Inventory Management: Optimize inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing excess stock and obsolescence.
Supply Chain Coordination: Work with global and regional supply chain teams to ensure timely product replenishments and resolve any disruptions. Escalate OOS stock issue as per designed process.
S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning)
S&OP Process: Lead the monthly S&OP process ensuring alignment between demand, supply, and financial goals.
Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate discussions with cross-functional teams to address gaps between demand and supply and propose actionable solutions.
Understand and incorporate regional differences, market-specific trends, and regulatory requirements into planning processes.
Customer Relationships: Work closely with key accounts and distributors in the markets to anticipate demand fluctuations and manage order priorities.
Risk Management/Scenario planning: Identify risks (e.g., demand variability, supply constraints) and develop mitigation strategies. Conduct what-if analyses to prepare for potential market changes or disruptions.
Continuous Improvement & Performance Management
KPIs: Track and report on key performance indicators (e.g., forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, risk of lost, bad goods, days of supply).
Reporting: Provide regular updates and insights on demand and supply planning metrics to senior leadership.
Analytics: Provide data-driven insights and actionable recommendations to optimize the end-to-end supply chain. When easily actionable, develop tools to support local reporting activities.
Others
Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
For critical business activities, receive training and serve as a backup for the local supply chain logistics expert during periods of absence or vacation. (eg : inbound management with LSP)
Minimum Requirements
Proven years of experience in Supply Chain Management and ideally in demand and supply planning
University Degree in Economics, Business or Engineering
Good knowledge of the local pharmaceutical logistic distribution model
Good understanding of the sales process/Business Acumen
Advanced English (oral and written), Dutch and/or Swedish as strong plus.
Good knowledge of Office tools
Awareness with Project Management & Logistic Tools
Strong interpersonal and communications skills
Strong organization and time management skills
First-rate problem-solving ability
Effective Team player and builder
Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Capability to travel on a regular basis (at least once every 2 months for 2/3 days)
