Job Title : Associate Director of Sales Strategy & Operations Manager
Location : Remote (United States)
Position Summary
The Associate Director of Sales Strategy & Operations Manager is a part of the US Immunology and Rx Sales Leadership team. This position will be responsible for assessing, building and leading end-to-end processes that support field sales strategy and result in improved efficiency and Rx profitability. This will require field engagement with customers, daily collaboration with Rx field sales teams, internal stakeholders and external business partners in support of Rx Commercial Strategy. This role will improve the efficiency, optimization, communications, and productivity related to driving demand (consumption) and profitability within the Immunology and Rx Business Unit. In addition, this role should serve to help develop the skills of top talent for future Director opportunities.
Key Accountabilities
- Maintain a current and expansive understanding of customer needs, issues and opportunities through consistent and impactful field interaction with key customers including Key Opinion Leaders and members of the Speaker Bureau.
- Assist in development of Plan of Action (POA) sales meeting strategy and agenda through effective collaboration with Immunology and Rx BU Sales & Marketing and Commercial Excellence teams to ensure strategic alignment and execution.
- Participate and help lead Sales and Marketing Advisory Committee (SMAC) Teams including membership, meetings and communication delivery that support our sales strategy.
- Identify skill and development needs with training solutions for our Regional Sales Managers in the areas of sales execution, business planning / acumen, operational resource management, and sales performance indicators.
- Drive efficient decision making to enable timely implementation of key standardized processes to optimize field salesforce productivity and impact.
- Manage strategic and tactical execution to support sales plans derived from brand plans including : Salesforce deployment, targeting initiatives, sample optimization and deployment, and Peer2Peer (P2P) programs.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to rollout salesforce effectiveness and sales leadership dashboards and tools to maximize productivity and execution of brand strategies e.g. Sales IQ, Veeva and SP / HUB sub-national performance reporting for Sales and Field access teams.
- Provide expert guidance to internal customers in SFE ensuring sales incentive compensation plans, incentive plans and product weighting are designed to best achieve the Immunology and Rx BU vision, strategy, objectives and financial targets.
- Provide analytical and financial modeling in conjunction with the Area Sales Director team for Immunology, Field Access Director team for Immunology and Nation Sales Director for Rx to improve understanding and opportunities to impact volume and profitability of the Rx BU.
- Work directly with the Brand team and Training teams to ensure a top-notch onboarding experience for new hires.
- Work with the Leadership Development team on the development content to help build our future talent in the BU.
- Other duties may be assigned.
